Investigation 01 · NBA · the evidence behind the video
Is Playoff Jimmy real?
Real, but not how you think.
Change the comparison
Most players score less per minute in the playoffs, so the video compares Butler with other players in the same seasons. Choose who counts as a peer and how many playoff minutes a run needs, and watch whether the answer holds. Every number here comes from the saved analysis; the page only looks them up.
Scope
Without any comparison
Here is each player's own change in scoring rate, playoffs against the same season's regular season, before comparing with anyone. Pick which runs count.

How it was checked
What this can't tell you
- Dividing by minutes doesn't account for opponents, health, role, pace or workload.
- This is about how much he scores, not how efficiently, and scoring isn't a player's total impact.
- The comparison says how unusual a change is among players with real minutes. It doesn't say why it happened, and it isn't evidence of a "clutch" trait.
- "Close to a coin flip" describes a count, 6 of 11 runs against similar scorers. It isn't a probability model of his seasons.
